ALL THAT ZAZZ

What's In Your Beach Bag?

Ciao bella,

I’ve already spent a few nice days at my pool Charles River Park—7,000 square feet of paradise! It’s just behind the sign “If You Lived Here.....you’d be home now!” It’s where all should be.

I was ready for my afternoons in the sun. I checked my beach bag and made sure all my essentials were there for a comfortable time!

So here is a check list to help you start off a healthy, beautiful summer—that is coming!

First of all-Sunscreen is a definite. Apply all over BEFORE you hit the lounge chair. Re-apply during the day. Some sun is good for you. Our bodies need the Vitamin D. So start off slow especially if you are tanning.

Then have handy a good tanning oil that moisturizes and prevents the aging effects of the sun. Try to protect your face! I recently invested in an SPF 50 , fabulous, diva sun hat by Scala. Sunscreen lip balm. Apply under lip stick.

A bathing suit with vintage sunglasses is big this year.

A cover-up for when the sun is getting too much.

Flip-flops for hot sand or cement!

Bottled water—stick a couple in the freezer the night before for a cool treat.

Skip that heavy CD player and load up an Ipod for entertainment.

A pack of moist towelettes with anti-bacterial is refreshing. A pack of tissues—you can find fun printed beach ones at a novelty store

Turban if not wearing big diva sun hat—to protect hair.

Bi-focal sunglasses if you plan on reading.

Towel and chair (pool supplies all that)

Breath mints to ask “blonde” questions to life-guards!

Insect repellent-in case it’s the season for green heads, no seeums or mosquitoes.

Mobile phone—time yourself in the sun.

OK-now you’re ready for a safe and fun time in the sun.

Buona giornata, and God bless the United States of America!
