Beauty is 2020 Vision

Ciao bella,

Happy New Year all! Hope everyone enjoyed some fine holidays. I know I certainly did. In early December we planned our annual Christmas Caroling party. I inherited my Momís piano several years back so the event is also sentimental. My husband David hires a professional pianist to tap out a songbook he put together. This recent fellow played and sang along to really stir up our company in festive song. Naturally there was plenty of food and drink. There was also our Cabana boy dressed only in a kilt to stir more things up! It was a marvelous party as Noel Coward would say. I plan on bringing that wondrous feeling into 2020. Hanging on to the good feelings and letting the bad go is a beauty and health regimen I highly recommend. Less frowning and lesser wrinkles as well!

Now Iím sure there are a great many of us who will make that same New Years resolution to eat healthier and lose weight. Itís all done in good faith. However, here are a few Beauty foods that are low in calories and good for your skin.

Blueberries ó have the highest amounts of antioxidants, giving protection against free-radical damage from pollution and the sun.

Walnuts ó have a high concentration of vitamin E which is a powerful antioxidant keeping skin smooth and plump.

Kale ó great in soups. The darker the better. Packed with vitamins A, B, C, and K, and beta carotene, which increases cell turnover, tightens and detoxifies.

Citrus Fruits ó vitamin C has many benefits helping to reduce dark spots, aiding with collagen production which brightens overall skin tone.

Greek Yogurt ó a probiotic good for your gut as well as boosting the production of ceramides which are healthy fats in skin. Also helps from recovery from exposure to UV rays.

So my Glamazons welcome in our New Decade 2020 with a lovely smile and carry on!

Buona Giornata and God Bless the USA!
